RAPID PROTOTYPING

3D printing is perfect for prototyping a wide range of parts, to get an accurate feel for their design, dimentions and ergonomics before commiting to an expensive mass production technique such as injection moulding or metal casting. This way any nessesary changes can be made to the design of the part and it can be reprinted and tested until it is fit for purpose, preventing the need for expensive retooling at a later stage. This can be done in a range of materials to best suit the part, see list for details.

REPLACEMENT PLASTIC PARTS

There are many simple, yet important plastic parts in our lives which often get lost or broken, such as battery covers, special brackets, clips, gears, radio controlled car parts etc. It is often impossible to find replacement parts for these situations, and in some cases we are forced to throw away a perfectly good product simply due to a single damaged part.

PERSONALISED ITEMS

3D printing is a great way to produce a items that are customised for the client, whether they be an individual or a business. These items include products such as small ornamental items, keyrings etc. These items can be made to suit the interests of the client, e.g. someone that likes cars may want a model of a car.

These items can be personalised by adding significant text to them (names, dates etc), making them perfect for gifts. Items such as keyrings can be designed to incorperate logos as well, making them perfect promotional items for your business.

3D PHOTOS

3D photos or lithophanes are 3D images that appear when they are backlit. These images are very unique, and work by varying the thickness of the material throughout the image. This works with almost any image and can be done in any size up to 210x210mm in a curved or flat format. These are the perfect way to capture and share important moments.
